Brandon Belt hits his first major league home run against rival Los Angeles Dodgers

Brandon Belt silenced the Dodger Stadium crowd in the top of the fourth inning, as he crushed a monster two-run home run over the center-field wall.

Many Giants fans questioned the team's decision to start their rookie first baseman on opening day, who is actually the first person to do this for the Giants since Will Clark. For the Giants, the decision paid off.

The kid's first major league home run gave the Giants a 3-1 lead. They were down 1-0 at the time.

In the spring, Belt hit .282 with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs in 71 at bats.

The Giants have to be excited about this young player.
